Dear Residents,
RE: THE VANTAGE FACEBOOK GROUP
The Vantage Facebook group was created and is currently moderated by residents. A member of the Council of Owners (COO) has recently been serving as a moderator primarily to ensure that any urgent content can be addressed promptly if necessary. Our intention in using this platform was to quickly reach as many residents as possible. The Council member has now stepped down as a moderator but continues to be a member of the group as a private resident.
When seeking resolution of any apartment or building-related issues, please refrain from using the Facebook group and instead utilize the appropriate contact channels:

While we respect everyone's right to free speech, it’s important to recognize that individuals may have varying levels of sensitivity to certain topics. We encourage thoughtful, respectful and constructive communication within our community. Please keep in mind that if this Facebook page were to be shut down, it is likely that another would be created almost immediately by another resident. Therefore, we encourage you to view this platform primarily as a means of communication.
Facebook moderators play a crucial role in maintaining community standards and ensuring a safe environment for users. If you have concerns about a post in the Facebook group, please contact one of the moderators, who should address the issue appropriately. If you find that the discussions on the Facebook group do not align with your values or preferences, we encourage you to leave the page. Your engagement in a positive and respectful community is important, and there are other avenues for staying informed.
It is not acceptable for residents to cut and paste snippets of discussions from the group to share with those not in the group, as this can incite unnecessary conflict and create a distorted view of the conversations. This practice undermines the intentions of residents who have elected not to participate in the group and can lead to unnecessary anxiety by not respecting their choice. Please note that the COO has no authority to control inappropriate behaviour of individual residents towards others. If you become aware of, or are the target of, such behaviour you should report it to the police.
In response to your feedback, we are currently in the process of developing a dedicated website featuring a news and updates section. This will provide an alternative for residents who feel the Facebook group has become a platform for negative discussions only, allowing them to withdraw from that space while still staying informed about our community.
